Best Practices For Google Adsense!!!

Making money from a website built from the ground up to monetize via Google AdSense has become a popular source of extra income. However, it does involve a fair amount of time and knowledge in order to be successful. The following are the basic steps you must take to create a website, to start earning money from AdSense.

What you should NOT do: Never change the Google AdSense HTML code. If this is a mystery to you, good. It's not something you want to learn. Don't ask your friends and your relatives to click on your Google ads and never hint to your visitors to click on the ads either. This is fraud and they will come after you. Never label the Google ads with text that says anything other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements." You know who will get you, right? Never click on the ads that are on your page. Google has prepared for this, and they will know. This is fraud and they will come after you. Never put a Google ad block in a pop-up window or in error pages. Not even on empty pages. You don't want to put something on a page just to try to make money on an accidental click. Again, this is fraud and will not work for long. Webmasters can make AdSense more successful by focusing on attracting more visitors to their sites. There are several ways to accomplish this. Improving content is critical, as visitors are more likely to view the site when it holds quality material. Market to the right people, and take every opportunity to give the website URL exposure. Develop a mailing list, create a newsletter, offer a free item to encourage sign-ups, and publish a form on the website that allows visitors to request more information. This is all free advertising, which keeps viewers aware of the website and encourages new viewers to visit. The more of it that is done, the faster traffic will increase and the more clicks on Google ads you will get and the more money you will make.

Make sure your website is SEO (search engine optimized). You can do this by using descriptive page titles, meta tags and meta description. Your website copy should also be informative and relevant to your subject matter and should include keywords. Also avoid using Flash sites and one with flashy Javascript menus. Back Links are an important part of generating traffic. One way to create some is to publish articles into article directories with a link to your site. You can never have too many published articles. Your material must be original, no copying allowed. There are many article directories but a few popular ones are ezines and GoArticles. Use Viral Marketing to your advantage. Join social networks and let your friends and business colleagues know about your website. Use links to your website in your profile to generate more Back Links. Pay-per-click (PPC) advertising is a popular way to generate website traffic. The two most popular PPC search engines are Google and Yahoo. They are also the most costly to advertise on. Before you start a PPC campaign, it's important to do research on which keywords are effective in getting result. It's also important to determine whether your website converts, and turns those visitors into paying customers. Otherwise you'll be throwing your money away. There are other PPC alternatives like Bidvertise and Clicksor.com which are cheaper to advertise with, but don't generate the same amount of traffic that Google and Yahoo do. Ads on other related sites are a good way to generate traffic. However, they are usually only effective if the link is directly to a call to action, such as a product page with a Buy Now button.

The Google AdSense program is a great way to earn an additional income for most webmasters and a big income for some who have made it the main source of revenue.

Google Adsense Dos and Don'ts!!!

What you should NOT do: Never change the Google AdSense HTML code. If this is a mystery to you, good. It's not something you want to learn. Don't ask your friends and your relatives to click on your Google ads and never hint to your visitors to click on the ads either. This is fraud and they will come after you. The more of it that is done, the faster traffic will increase and the more clicks on Google ads you will get and the more money you will make.

A must know Google AdSense rule is; do not click on your own ads. Google use a number of methods to monitor click behaviour (location, IP address, statistics etc.). They have made AdSense a viable scheme by ensuring that the whole system is policed and regulated tightly. They have been involved in the game longer than most, so no one can get away with clicking on their own ads without getting caught. The same rule applies to encouraging, friends, families, colleagues and acquaintances. Google can easily detect click fraud. So don't tell your friends about your AdSense ads if you want to continue using the scheme. It's the easiest way to get you banned.

The Google AdSense program is a great way to earn an additional income for most webmasters and a big income for some who have made it the main source of revenue.

Become An Adsense Guru!!!

If webmasters want to monetize their websites, the great way to do it is through Adsense. There are lots of webmasters struggling hard to earn some good money a day through their sites. But then some of the geniuses of them are enjoying hundreds of dollars a day from Adsense ads on their websites. What makes these webmasters different from the other kind is that they are different and they think out of the box. The ones who have been there and done it have quite some useful tips to help those who would want to venture into this field. Some of these tips have boosted quite a lot of earnings in the past and is continuously doing so.

It is important to know which pages are converting and which ones aren’t. Google allows you to create up to 200 channels. Why not utilize them all. This way you can narrow down on your non-earning channels and optimize them through trial and error. Use what Google has to offer. They provide these tools because they want you to succeed. If you are making money, so are they.

Post Ads where people can see them!!!
You should take your time and develop an Adsense banner that will blend into your website. People are more apt to click on an advertisement if they don’t know it’s an ad. If they are interested in the ad, they will click on the link provided without thinking twice. This is also a good way to prevent your website from looking tacky. Garishly colored advertisements are highly noticeable and will increase the bounce rate on your site.  It can ruin the look of your site and is an insult to the eyes.

These are some of the tips that have worked well for some who want to generate hundreds and even thousands on their websites. It is important to know though that ads are displayed because it fits the interest of the people viewing them. So focusing on a specific topic should be your primary purpose because the displays will be especially targeted on a topic that persons will be viewing already.

Note also that there are many other Adsense sharing the same topic as you. It is best to think of making a good ad that will be somewhat different and unique than the ones already done. Every clickthrough that visitors make is a point for you so make every click count by making your Adsense something that people will definitely click on. Tips given by those who have boosted their earnings are just guidelines they want to share with others. If they have somehow worked wonders to some, maybe it can work wonders for you too. Try them out into your ads and see the result it will bring.

Making Money With Google Adsense!!!

A few more tips that I can give you about Google adsense account would be concentrating on one format of Adsense ad. The one format that worked well for the majority is the Large Rectangle (336X280). This same format have the tendency to result in higher CTR, or the click-through rates. Why choose this format out of the many you can use? Basically because the ads will look like normal web links, and people, being used to clicking on them, click these types of links. They may or may not know they are clicking on your Adsense but as long as there are clicks, then it will all be for your advantage.

Don't Hide Your Ads Place them where people can see and click them ;)
Remove the Adsense from the bottom pages of your site and put them at the top. Do not try to hide your Adsense. Put them in the place where people can see them quickly. You will be amazed how the difference between Adsense locations can make when you see your earnings.

The Google Adsense program runs off on content.  If you are unable to write specific enough content for Google to know what you are talking about, the ads may be untargeted. This is because Google has to guess. Keywords aren’t just for driving organic traffic, they are essential to obtaining relevant advertisements on your site. Without relevance, your ads will lose meaning.

Finally, and obviously, you need to increase traffic. The more traffic you have, the more Adsense revenue you will create. It is as simple as that. Unfortunately gaining that extra traffic is not so simple, but that is a topic for another post. Increasing Adsense revenue is about perseverance and hard work. You will need to put in the time and effort to try multiple different approaches before you can rest.  Learn from others. If you are a fan of a successful blog, see how they did it.  Where do they put their banners? Emulate them because they are successful.

They just take and put AdSense code into their site and work very hard to drive more traffic, expecting clicks on the ads. Even they got the expected traffic, they don't earn well because their ads are very cheap. I mean how can you satisfy with a click which gives you $0.01 or $0.05 when you can earn $8.0 or $10.0 per click? Today, most people earning a decent amount of money with AdSense. I'm going to tell you how to do it! Be Prepared...

Well, google ads has many different CPCs(Cost Per Click) depending on the sale of the product and popularity and etc. sometimes it may be up to $50.0. The cool thing is, if you found a way to track and put that high CPC ads to your site you will earn few dollers for a click for sure. Google does not approve your website, without traffic to your website. You should try to market your site visitors. I know your site is a new site, it means that you will not have traffic from search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN. However, you can get visitor by promoting your website by forums, web directory, etc. In fact, you can see in Free Ads linked to the site. Like getting your new website visitors and I hope that Google AdSense will approve your website to display their advertisements. Actually you should not forget that Google does not want the mandatory side, you have thousands of visitors per day from Google AdSense to get approved. What Google has is that you should have a practical side to start with good content and people to your website can be visited.

Some basic tips to get an account would be, Collect the set of useful content from article directories and place the items on your page, just 20 pages it takes to build. Do not submit your site to Google AdSense for approval to keep visitors to your site through forums and e-mail signature or signatures free online classifieds site.Your website needs a contact, privacy policy and a link to a minimum of 20 pages of the disclaimer. Your website should have a privacy policy page. Your website should have a sitemap.

Search Engine Optimization: Top 3 Tips

I that this blog is almost 6 months old, I believe I have a little bit of experience about what to blog and how to optimize it. There are many tips for search engine optimization that I have discussed in my previous posts. But now that I have a good amount of data to share more with you guys lets start with the top three tips. My following posts will be a sequence of this post so don't forget to follow AskThatGuru for more.
  1. Do not purchase a new domain unless you have to. If you have noticed the search engines put a lot of stock in how long your website and domain have been around. While you can purchase a new domain and redirect your old one to the new one, your best bet is to use your existing domain/website if at all possible. If you're redesigning or starting from scratch and you have to use a brand-new domain for some reason, you can expect at least somewhat of a loss in search engine traffic. It could be anywhere from a few weeks to a few months or more.
  2. Optimize your site for your target audience, not for the search engines. This may sound counterintuitive, but hear me out. The search engines are looking for pages that best fit the keyword phrase someone types into their little search box. If those "someones" are typing in search words that relate to what your site offers, then they are most likely members of your target audience. You need to optimize your site to meet *their* needs. If you don't know who your target audience is, then you need to find out one way or another. Look for studies online that might provide demographic information, and visit other sites, communities, or forums where your target audience might hang out and listen to what they discuss. This information will be crucial to your resulting website design, keyword research, and copywriting.
  3. Research your keyword phrases extensively. The phrases you think your target market might be searching for may very well be incorrect. To find the optimal phrases to optimize for, use research tools such asKeywordDiscoveryWordtracker or Google's Keyword Tool. Compile lists of the most relevant phrases for your site, and choose a few different ones for every page. Never shoot for general keywords such as "travel" or "vacation," as they are rarely (if ever) indicative of what your site is really about.

What are the basics of Search Engine Optimization ???

There are certain advantages of a website that are very noticeable in websites which are search engine optimized but if you are interested in search engine optimization, the first thing you need to know is key words are vital. They are the function that is going to lead people to your website and help you grow in the ranks of the various search engines.
When your web page is crawled, a search engine spider (which is essentially a robot) will send information back to the search engine reviewing your website. Among keywords they will also send back sites linking to you as well as sites you link to. This information shows you are active in the community, and provides a boost.
Next, your sites content and structure needs to be concise and clear. It should have information that is easy to find, and flows smoothly between the pages. If the information is difficult, or if the search engine hits numerous 404 error pages it will harm your ranking.
Finally the most important part is the keyword ratio. For optimal results, without resulting in getting flagged you should keep your keywords to approximately 4% of the text of your site at a maximum, but no less than 2% so the search engine picks up on these keywords. To find the best keywords, and other searches that can stem from it, try the Google Wheel Wonder. It will provide you with valuable insight and new terms to help sprinkle among your pages to generate more traffic.
Overall, optimization can help you increase the traffic to your website, and provide you with a more extensive sales base than before. Plus since it is a free method of advertising you stand to lose nothing at all.

Organic SEO

There are many paid ways that we have discussed in my previous posts. But bringing unpaid traffic trough keywords and related content is called organic search engine optimization. Pay attention to search engine because search engine loves good number of highly used keywords by you in your blog/ website and in return you get organic traffic.

A key to get organic traffic is to use what people like to search and what are the latest trends of search. You can always search latest trends and what are the latest topic on Google trends. Check what's is people liking these days in your field and by your field I mean the topic that your blog is all about. For example if you have a blog about latest gadgets try searching words like 4G technology or tablet PC etc. The most searched keywords are the words that you must use in your content.  The file names of your blogs must be meaningful and closer to the keywords that are most searched and you are already using them inside the content of your page. Inside contents make good use of synonyms of the keywords.

Get internal and external links for your website. Your blog should direct your user to other related and informative sites that you think are helpful to your user. In this way you get good credit and also better ranking among search results.

Improve Page Title

So far, I have mentioned many tips and tricks for getting more traffic to your blog but this is not necessarily depends on what content do you have. It depends on keywords optimization as well as the page title or your post title. Posting effective and attractive blog title for your blog can get you many visitors as well.

As we all know the importance of Title for a book we must take tremendous care about our blogs in the same manner.  On the internet people come to search and read things fast they don't want to stuck on some blog that don't describe the data and support the user is looking for. Most of the blog visitors switch between blogs just reading the title of the blog post. So in order to get more and more traffic to your blog and make your visitors to stay to your blog you would need to have an attractive yet interesting post title.
There is nothing like an easy to read blog which provides you information at the same time. Strong keywords are always considered to be the back bone for traffic building but there is a lot other then strong keywords that could make your blog attract users.

Improving you page titles can also improve your SEO ratings. SEO is also what a good blogger never take for granted. There is always a room for improvement in the blog titles and keywords optimization. For example if you have a blog with a title post as "Earn Money Online Fast and Free" it is more likely to get less number of views than if you titled it as "Earn Money Online - Secrets revealed". People are attracted to words like secrets, tips etc. so add a flare of attractive words to your page title and get visitors.

Use Appropriate Keywords in Image File Names

There are many websites and blogs that have made to the top rank due to their appropriate keywords in image file names. In fact, one of my websites gets hundreds of visits a month from people who are searching for images. I'm not sure how valuable those visitors are, but most importantly I didn't have to do anything very special to get them, except putting my blog name under each of the image that I upload to my website.

Google Images- makes it easy for people to search for their required images online. To make your image appear among the top results you must assign it a unique and rich with keywords name. This is done by naming the image file that you are going to upload, with rich keywords. For example if you have a blog about "pets" and you upload 3-4 images per post, you must name cat image as "best kitten ever" or may be "cutest cat".

Now the question raises ............. why?
Here's a tip I just discovered... When I searched in Google Images for my "cat blog" there come the images which were decent but I don't find much of those uninteresting and simple. I was rather wondering for the natural but unique images of cats doing different kind of funny things, and there came the moment of "Aa, Ha!". I decided to upload images of my cats doing funny stuff and upload those images titling "cutest cats" and "funny cats" etc.

But there is one thing that you must remember is the number of search results of your keywords. When I started back in 2004 building websites and blogs it was easy to target the audience but now its a bit difficult job to do since there are 1.27 Million results of "cutest cat" images. So you got to hit the market by getting traffic from other sources and techniques and consider your images as an additional traffic source.

Selecting a Misleading Domain Name

To many of you this may not be a good idea but some of you may already be taking a huge advantage of selecting a misleading domain name. Whether you may or may not be a part of any conference or workshop about "blogging tips" you should have a mind set that you won't be getting any views if your domain name is misleading but it seems a bitter truth that for a decent start you can also give a shot to a domain name that resembles any other big website or blog.
Although I count this in "ways to get traffic" but I doubt it at the same time. The only doubt that I have is you don't have visitors that will come to your blog regularly. Beside that, it is a great way to cash in the big names.
It is the matter of time and effort for you to take your blog to the next level. Since you have a domain name that automatically brings you boat load of traffic every day, you just have to provide the basic facilities of the blog or website that you are making a duplicate of.
Lets say you have a blog that has a domain name "Googlr.com" it just seems to be a typo error but imagine 2 billion people coming to Google and even if there is a probability of 0.0001% that would type "googlr" instead of Google, there would be more than thousands of clicks each day to you blog or website. But remember one thing that you should always be providing same services that are provided by the original domain user in our case its Google.

Selecting a Memorable Domain Name

Great ways for getting free traffic is what we are gathering information about. Whether it is a blog about "how to" topics or its about an individuals family blog, one thing you must know about is it should have a memorable domain name. A catchy blog name is always good to see and remember. The simple point that I want to mention here is  if you're launching a new blog, choose a name people will remember easily.

I still remember years ago, I visited a site called "bored.com". Its logo is a face with a bored feelings. Sounds awkward, doesn't it? However, all it took for me to remember that unusual site was ONE visit years ago.You may not wish to go to such extreme lengths, but at least ask yourself: "Will people remember my domain name?" That is how you would get a good domain.

I do know that there are many domains that you would think are best for your blog but that are no more available. It's because of the trend that people have set. Many bloggers that I know have more than 10 blogs in average. So It won't be easy for you to get the desired domain. Still there are domains that are available for you to buy. Just think fast, because you don't want to wait for someone to get the domain you think suites for your blog.
You can see recommended blog names at NameBoy.com which has a handy tool to help you choose domain names. Also, you can find a surprising number of good deleted (expired) domain names at Whois.net both those websites are free. So I hope you get the best domain for your blog because it will surely help you get in the SEO rankings and eventually you will get traffic to your blog. Memorable domain name will get you boat load of traffic that you are looking for.

Widget Marketing for Web Traffic

How To Get Traffic To Your Blog - XI
So far, we have discussed many methods of getting traffic from different sources for your blog. Today, I will write something for your blog that can really help you in future. Many tricks and methods that bring targeted traffic to your blog are temporary ways. But this one that I am just going to discuss has an everlasting effect to your traffic. Widget marketing is the next big thing for your blog.
I personally came across many websites and blogs that have their own widgets. You can design a single or multiple widgets for your blog for free. There are many websites that offers free widget building for your websites or blog but there are some that have a very less sign up fee and cost nothing for the development of your widgets. I highly recommend you test or try a free widget maker for your blog sometime.

Suppose you have a blog about weather updates around the world. The first thing you need to do after getting your blog to a good number of viewers is making a weather widget for your blog that can update weather updates and link your blog if clicked. Often times I came across widgets that have some information that I want to set on my blog. When someone click to that widget on my blog, that widget take my viewer to the blog that has been linked (in most cases the widget maker website).

So You should definitely thinking for making widgets for your blog and contact blog owners of your genre and ask them if they are interested in putting your widget on their blog that would help them and you as well. So go ahead and make a widget.

Site Mapping Your Blog

How To Get Traffic To Your Blog - X
Some times it happens that you have posted a lot of articles and other content regularly on your blog but still you don't get the desired traffic you are looking for. This is because Google bot finds it difficult to crawl your blog. So in order to make your blog such that Google bot crawl your blog easily you must have a page that has content from all of your posts or articles.

Most of the websites that we surf or use in our daily routine are those which have a site map page. This page explains the web content of the blog. This is same as the brochures of any company that describes what that company has to offer or what content they have in their services. So your site map page will have the links to other pages of your blog. It will highlights the important pages and eventually will help you getting more traffic to your blog.

Often times it ma happens that the content you think best describes your blog is not highlighted and the content that have less appeal to your users is more prominent in your blog. To avoid this feeling you must mention the best pages or post along the side of your every post or article. This is how you get more clicks and make your visitor to remain at your blog. So site mapping is also a very important factor for promotion of your blog since it increase the SEO ratings and rank your blog higher in search engine ranking in comparison to other blogs.

Try Offline Advertisement

How To Get More Traffic To Your Blog - IX
Many methods we have discussed up till now are typically web based ideas for getting traffic to your blog. But in this post I will explain a method that isn't related to your online social network, instead I will talk about an offline method that would make your blog popular among the locals of your city or even the state.

The method is to advertise your blog in the local newspapers and web related magazines. As a matter of fact, people around the world are still spending more than 70% of their average time of the day offline either they are on the job or  at home. This offline time includes reading newspapers or even magazines. So there is a great probability that a person that doesn't know about your blogs might have a chance to visit it by reading something about it in the newspaper or magazine.

Advertising in the local newspaper will give your blog a viewership that will follow your every post because they can also take a part in your blog physically. The point that I want to introduce here is that you should advertise your blog and ask the help of people around you (either physical help or link exchange for blog promotion). For the promotion of your blog ask any internee or any person who can share the brochures of your blog with the people who have interest in what you have to offer at your blog. Advertising in the web related magazines will help you get attention among the people of your own niche. So I urge you all to try at least once the offline method for the promotion of your blog.

Advertising in the local newspaper and magazines is very cheap as compare to the online advertisement. You can have a fixed amount for your advertisement say you have invested $500 for your ad in an local newspaper. In that ad mention the product you have to sale at your blog or add any stuff that you are giving to your viewers for free and highlight that "the blog will be updated every two days so keep in touch for more stuff". That kind of statement can bring your blog a great number of unique viewers to your blog. You will definitely feel that it was worth to advertise in newspapers and magazines.

Writing Articles and Linking Back

How To Get More Traffic To Your Blog - VIII
In the last post I have mentioned the way to get traffic from PPC method, but in this post I will explain you how you can earn money by writing articles and linking those to your website.  As mentioned earlier that Google and other search engines crawl your websites as they see the content of that website, it is highly recommended that you should consider posting more and more stuff on your blog as the time passes by.

There are a few methods that can make your blog get loads of traffic. You may or may not be familiar with article directories. But in order to get a very decent count of traffic to your website or blog you must consider articles to be submitted to different websites or blog at that is called submitting articles to different directories.

Now I will give you an example on how to use article directories for your blog promotion. The first step  is to get accounts on different websites like ezinearticles, freearticlesubmission etc. after that Suppose you have written five articles a week, each 350 words long with a couple of links. Submit these five articles by the end of every week to at least 3 different directories. Then by the end of the month you will have 60 articles (on different directories) with 120 links to your blog, and if you are consistent and keep on writing for about an year you will have 720 articles with 1440 links to your blog, amazing! isn't it???

If that many links are directed to your blog I can assure you, you are going to have your blog rank among the top ten pages of Google for your particular genre.

Post Comments and Join Forums

How To Get More Traffic To Your Blog-II
As mentioned in the previous post blogs are not meant to drag traffic by themselves, in fact You need to bring some traffic to your blog just as you bring customers to your new business. It is very important to keep adding content regularly. This is the tip that most of the people you would see be giving to you as the basics for getting traffic. To get people to visit your site, you need to go out and invite them, ask them to check out your blog. Here's is my experience of blogging for "The Time Waste Show":

a) Browse blogs on the similar niche and content and comment on their posts. When you comment don't forget to add your blog's URL in the signature. If your comment is relevant and catchy, readers of that blog may come check out yours too.

b) Approach other bloggers for a link exchange, this is best done with a friendly email. Introduce yourself, write a line or two about your blog, include your URL and offer the possibility of a link exchange. A link exchange is where you add their web address to your site on a page or section called "links" and they do the same for you.

c) Comment on blog posts.By commenting on others blog you may get attention of the people why visit the blog as well as the attention of the owner of the blog, again the idea is same comment should be catchy easy to read, comprehensive and informative at the same time.

d) Joining forums related to your blog is also an effective way to bring some more traffic to your website. If you're a writer, join forums and conversations for writers. Add some valuable comments and become a part of the community. Answer the questions (if you have an idea) about anything related to your topic and again add your website URL to the signature.

e) Expand your social network and utilize it as a deadly weapon for bringing more traffic.

Starting Blog with Free Web Host

Starting Blog with Free Web Host
Among the few tips that I rate in the top ones, is starting your first personal blog with free web host. This is a very good idea to start a blog with free web host and get a free domain as well. Don't go for shortcuts or any other way that may cost you money and returns you nothing, not even a single penny. Many times it happens that people who just come across the word "blog" start to make their blog from the same vary day resulting a very bad impression of the author. At this point I want to share my personal experience as well, I started blogging in 2008, at that time I didn't think a bit and made a decision that I am going to blog about my routine and stuff that happens in my daily life, obviously it ended up quite badly and I still think that was one of my worse experiment of my life. Because it cost me money as well as my precious time :) From then I started making blogs of my interest and also keep the interest of my viewers in mind as well, as  a result most my blogs got attention from the viewers because I write about their interests. It was never easy to write before deciding what you are going to write. So now I plan what I am going to write about and collect some points that I think relative to my next post, believe me that worked for me amazingly. But the thing is that my first blog was not a hit and I don't think your first blog will be a hit either. I'm not guessing you or underestimating your skills but that is what the facts tell us. So I highly recommend you guys to get a free web host and a free domain for your first blog. There are free web hosts like blogger, wordpress, weebly and many more. You should try on these first, get your content noticed by others and then buy a domain for your hit website. Good Luck!!!
